It’s unlikely you would make anything this way. You might be hit over the head and have your gold stolen, you might purchase a pile of gold just before the price DROPS (yes, gold can LOSE value too), and end up selling it for half of what you paid… People who make money in gold aren’t carrying the heavy metal through airports, they’re doing paper-based transactions.
