Can I make a plan change from one WellCare health plan to another?
Yes, Medicare beneficiaries can change plans during the Annual Enrollment period (between October 15th and December 7th). Coverage will be effective the following January 1st. You may also be granted a Special Election Period by CMS allowing you to change plans during the year outside the Annual Enrollment Period. Special Election Periods are time sensitive. If you are granted a Special Election Period, you may choose to enroll in a WellCare plan.
