Your employer has to follow a fair procedure if they want to sack you and dismissing you for being signed off sick for two weeks with no consultation regarding whether you are fit to return to work would be unfair. If you had been left with a permanent disability after the car crash, your employer would be required to make reasonable adjustments such as a phased return to work or adjustments to your working environment before considering sacking you. You can be sacked for being on long term sick, but two weeks is not long term sick.
