Can I lock a template so the field information stays the same from wire to wire?

Yes. When you’re creating or modifying a template, just check the box next to the Locked Template icon before you save changes. This will make the fields read-only, except for Amount (About) and Value Date which can be changed each time a wire is initiated from the template.
