Can I leave the Therapeutic Alpha-Hydroxy Peel on longer than 20 minutes?
Everyone’s skin processes differently. Some people only need it on for 10 or 20 minutes to receive their desired results. Other people can leave it on longer as their skin may process slower or need it on longer. If you have left it on for 20 minutes with no irritation which did not dissipate after 24 hours; than leaving it on progressively longer each week is fine if you desire more results. Some people are comfortable at 30 minutes and others even 60 minutes on their face. You may leave it on your body for up to 3 or 4 hours. If it is an area where the cream rubs off easily than wrap it with cotton or plastic wrap if your skin can tolerate it, in order to keep it sitting on your skin and not becoming removed during processing. You can leave the peel on areas with blemishes for up to 60 minutes each day as needed until they are healed. They usually resolve quite nicely within 24 to 36 hours.
