Can i leave school at 15 legally to get a apprenticeship?

Speak to the Connexions officer attached to your school – because of your age the school will have to make the arrangements for you. If you’re unsure of who to speak to in the school, approach a teacher you like & get on with and ask them how you go about it or who you need to speak to. Your parents should also be able to speak to the school on your behalf to find out how to go about arranging an apprenticeship. Under UK law you cannot leave school until you’ve turned 16 but I’m unsure if you can leave at the end of the term you turn 16 or if it’s the end of academic year.
