Can I learn Reiki or Energy Therapy through distant study courses ?

Yes – you can learn these courses through distant learning or online courses but professional bodies will not recognise this sort of training at the present time, especially as there is a duty of care to the general public. In the UK, we are moving more towards a self-regulatory system, with more strict rules for training. If you want to learn for your own spiritual development, distant learning would be appropriate. If you wish to practice on friends, family or others, whether a beginner or professional, it is highly recommended that you learn from a Master. The spiritual path brings up challenges because it triggers powerful energy shifts, so it is wise to have a teacher to turn to for advice, at least at the beginning of your journey.
