Yes, you can learn Korean for free online. However, here’s my advice: if you’re serious about learning Korean, don’t do so by relying on websites, use them as additional resources or for reference only. Consider buying a good textbook instead. Check out the excellent “Integrated Korean” series or “Elementary Korean.” Audio for the Integrated Korean series is available for free online. Elementary Korean comes with an audio CD. I admit they’re on the expensive side. Neverthelesss, from my own experience I can assure you that you will be much better off learning from a good textbook than using various Internet courses. Korean is a very complex language with several formal, informal or plain speech levels and honorific words. You can say a lot of things in many different way in Korean and it will all be correct grammatically but perhaps entirely inappropriate depending on the person you’re talking to or other factors.
