Can I learn HypnoBirthing myself with a book or Birth Hypnosis CD?
A CD or book could help you to relax and be of some benefit, but in order to gain the best experience of HypnoBirthing it is recommended that you attend the classes with an officially recognised HypnoBirthing instructor. We give you 2 CDs and the book as part of the programme but this is just a small part of the course. The book is based on the US. In the classes you will be taught hands on techniques and ways that will teach you how to get the most from HypnoBirthing within the maternity services in Ireland. A lot more is covered in these classes that are not routinely taught in other ante-natal preparation classes. Also as a very experienced midwife I am happy to answer any questions that you may have.
