Can I learn begin learning Hebrew using the latin alphabet?

As a Hebrew speaker, I can give you my honest opinion: Don’t do it! Learning the Hebrew alphabet might be a little tricky at first, but it should only take you about a week or two if you put in effort. Hebrew is not like English – the writing system is very importantly linked to the words and their meanings. I can’t explain it – in English even if I write with bad spelling, like “halo mi naym iz jak”, you can still understand what I’m saying. In Hebrew, each letter has a meaning and changing one letter for a similar sounding one will often change the entire meaning of the word. Arabic and Hebrew have this in common – the Hebrew alphabet is by far the most efficient way to write and learn the Hebrew language. I know it’s hard to imagine what I mean right now, but trust me – it is SO much easier to learn it in the Hebrew alphabet!!! SO much easier!!! To be honest I doubt you will be able to get very far with the Latin alphabet. Seriously, invest a week or two into learning the Hebrew alp
