If the other fish are fancy tail types, then it’s not recommended. If the tank is already not big enough, then it’s not recommended. If the tank has type 1 comets and other fast-moving goldfish, then it’s okay. The reasoning is that the fancy tail types are more fragile and slower, so will not handle well with faster relatives.
