It’s technically possible if the pond is big enough, but Koi ponds are visual attractions, whilst duck ponds are meant to be full of duck weed. Pretty pointless exercise having the fish if you can’t see them. Also the surrounding vegetation is going to get flattened or eaten which again doesn’t really go with an ornamental pond.
