I actually bought a freshwater puffer because the people at the pet shop told me he was a “community fish”. How could I resist such a cute little fish! Anyhow I had a 200 gallon tank that had in it 3 African dwarf frogs, a “baby whale” {he was 6 inch’s} and an African black knife which cost me 100 dollars when I bought him at 3″ in length he was at that time 10 inch’s long. Then I started to notice that their fins were not looking right so I thought maybe they had fin rot. I treated them for fin rot and lo and behold it happened again. Now seeing as my fish were rather expensive I took them to a local pet shop who assured me it was not fin rot that in fact something was eating their fins!. They asked what else I had in the tank I told them and they told me no matter what the other store told me a freshwater puffer is NOT a community fish it is aggressive and by time I got home to get that fish out and take it down to the pet shop for them to resale for me, it had eating one of my littl
