Can I just use over-the counter medication such as Ibuprofen and Tylenol to treat my pain?
Over the counter (OTC) pain medications are the first line of treatments offered to patients with pain. However, long term use of Ibuprofen and Tylenol may put you at risk for ulcers, kidney problems or liver disease. Other medications may have fewer side effects and in the long term may be more desirable.
