Can i join the army reserves with children?
I gather from your previous questions that you are talking about the Australian Army Reserve here. You do not start your recruit training course immediately after enlistment – you will typically parade at your unit as a recruit for a period of time before you get nominated for a course date. It can take anywhere from a few days to several months before you board the bus to Kapooka. You can choose Kapooka dates that suit your civilian life – if you and your husband want to go at different times so someone’s watching the kids, that’s easily done. If you both want to do training at the same time in the same platoon – that’s not guaranteed, and you’ll need someone to take care of the kids for that whole month.
