Can I join a fraternity after or before the formal recruitment period ends?

The answer is: It depends. Some organizations will not pledge any members after the initial Rush period, other chapters may add one or two members as long as its not too late in the term. If the fraternity or sorority is not adding any members at the time you can always wait until the following semester. No Greek group may pledge members prior to the end of formal recruitment (i.e. between Labour Day and Bid Day in September, and Christmas and Bid Day in January).
