Can I interview Erin Gruwell or one of the Freedom Writers for my research paper?
While we would love to provide interviews with everyone who asks, our primary focus is to train teachers to engage, enlighten, and empower at-risk students, so our time is very limited. However, you can find answers to many of your questions in Erin Gruwell’s memoir, Teach With Your Heart, which acts as a Behind-the-Scenes account of her experience with the Freedom Writers.
