Yes. Nothing changes to the way you had previously performed native backups and ETL operations or to your existing high availability or disaster recovery procedures when using HyperBac. HyperBac is invoked simply by changing the file extension of the backup pieces to HBC (or another user configured file extension) before executing the RMAN, EXP or EXPDB operations or copying the data files to a destination file with a HBC extension (in the case of cold backups). Below in an example demonstrating how HyperBac is incorporated into your existing backup scripts and jobs: Native Backup Command: BACKUP DATABASE FORMAT ‘E:\Backup\%U’; HyperBac Equivalent Command: BACKUP DATABASE FORMAT ‘E:\Backup\%U.
