Can I install window film on dual pane windows? My glass manufacturer claims it will crack glass and blow out seals.
Yes you can with no problems if you use the correct film application. Llumar is offered in many window films that are safe to apply to dual-pane and, in some cases, even triple-pane windows. They carefully analyze the glass and air-space temperatures of windows with solar film applied before recommending any film for multiple-pane windows. They then compare these temperatures to temperatures of tinted windows from the glass or window manufacturer, so-called manufacturer’s original equipment or OEM.
