Can I install Win 7, with Aero support on Acer Aspire 5102, with 2GB Ram?
hi zoki yes,you should have no problems installing windows 7 on the Acer Aspire 5102,it has all the required specifications needed for the new windows os. and these include a AMD Turion 64 TL-50 1.6 GHz Processor ,1024 MB DDRII-533MHz SDRAM and ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 Shared Graphics which are more than capable of running the aero effects in windows 7 to be honest the requirements for windows 7 are not much different to the requirements for windows vista installing windows 7 is pretty much the same as installing windows 7…infact apart from the end of the installation when you can add your wireless security key its pretty much the same the only thing i will say is add more memory as soon as you can…laptop memory isnt that expensive and you could double your existing memory for around £40 and this would make life much easier especially when running multiple applications any problems let me know good luck zoki !
