Can I install the pit or suface housing away from the pool edge?
It is not advisable. If a pit housing is placed away from the edge of the pool, the whole surface area of the fabric material has to be pulled over a large amount of paving/tiled area. Although ‘cover treatment’ can be applied, it will severely reduce the operating efficiency of the cover and possibly cause excessive wear and tear. Depending on the pool size, we recommend that a pit/surface housing is installed no more than 18-24″ away from the pool edge. Ideally, all Aquamatic systems should be installed directly behind the pool wall. Consult your dealer to discuss the options that are available to you.
