It depends! Whirlpool Corporation recommends that the air temperature be at least 55 degrees F. for best performance. Colder temperatures will impact the products ability to cool effectively. An air temperature below 55 degrees may result in the thermostat sensing the “exterior” air rather than the “interior” freezer compartment air, resulting in improper compressor cycling.
