You will be able to install windows xp with no problem as long as you have the drivers (you should be able to get the drivers off dells website if you know what model computer the motherboard came out from.

No, you CANNOT install WIndows XP on a ‘motherboard’. You install the operating system onto the hard drive. If you have a FULL version it should install on the hard drive quite well. You will then also need to install all the drivers to utilize your custom graphics card and controllers, NIC, etc.
