Can I install Masonite Braceboard if it is wet?
A. Yes, however if the board is wet for too long (depends on changes in climatic conditions), it will bow and twist making it difficult to install. Also, as it dries, it will shrink causing the sheet to crack. In areas of high rainfall, eg, North Queensland, the board should be installed immediately to avoid the latter two issues. Often however, builders don’t waste time in erecting frames and the brickwork so this should not be a major issue.
