Leopard supports G4 Macs, so it will run on your Powerbook. You may want to create a bootable backup of your machine with SuperDuper so you can restore back to your current setup if you’re not happy. And then you’ll be able to perform a clean install and start fresh. Follow SuperDuper’s instructions to create a bootable backup, perform a clean install of Leopard, and run the Migration Assistant to bring over your existing settings and applications from the backup.
