Can I install CiscoWorks ICM directly after installing Common Services?

A. No, you should install RME first, and CiscoWorks ICM should be installed on the same machine as RME. RME is required for CiscoWorks ICM to work. The Inventory information, particularly the port information, is collected and stored in the RME database. CiscoWorks ICM uses this information. ICM does not manage devices separately from RME. If you install CiscoWorks ICM directly after installing Common Services, the installation stops. It displays an error message that RME 4.0.2 is required.
