Can I hook up more than one TV and video recorder to a single digital-to-analog converter box?
No, you will need 1 digital-to-analog converter box for each TV set or other device that only has an analog tuner. The digital-to-analog converter box basically replaces the analog tuner in one piece of equipment. So, if you want to use your analog TV and VCR at the same time, you will need 2 digital-to-analog converter boxes.
Yes, you need two converters. Each converter only “converts” one channel at a time. There are a few models of converters that have “VCR timers” that allow you to program channel changes on the converter. You probably want one of those to connect to your VCR. You can use any converter with your VCR but without a “VCR timer” you have to manually change the channel on the converter. Also you probably want the two converters to be of different brands. If they are the same then the remotes will effect both converters. Be sure to turn off the “automatic shut off” feature on the converter that is connected to your VCR.
