Can i hire a car in France without a credit card ?
If using a US debit card or Australia new Visa debit card for a France Rental. I don’t think they would know-even if they see the card it is that it is a debit. The Debit cards in France don’t work like ours in the US or Australia. France debit cards are deferral payment cards. Similar to the American Express Card that you have to pay back at the end of the month. Yes there are other car rental places that take debit card. The reason for some not talking debit cards. They could not put a big hold on the some of the cards. I would use a Credit Card because of the big holds it puts on your card.
