Can I hide the Clicktionary when I’m not using it?

You can close the Clicktionary window and just right-click on the icon in the system tray if you want to open it again. A pop-up menu will appear when you right-click on the icon, and you can select from the list whether you want to Open, Login, Activate/Deactivate, or Exit. Clicking on the Exit option will remove the icon in your system tray and disable Clicktionary translations.
