Can I have sea turtles, sharks, octopus, barracuda and/or squid in my saltwater fish tank?
It is done, but generally, no. These animals get very large and eat huge amounts of food. In addition to being able to eat just about any other animal you might want to put in your aquarium, they would quickly outgrow all but the very largest (10,000 gallons or more) aquarium. Unless you are considering an aquarium the size of a swimming pool and have $50,000 to $100,000 to spend on it, these animals are not good choices.
