Can I have an advantage die contest (p. 39) during a battle?
A. Yes! The contest replaces your attack roll during the exchange. This is a great way to gain an advantage in the fight, by using one of your other abilities in an interesting way. Using an ability for an advantage contest does not automatically impair it (although it does become impaired if you lose the contest).
