NO! If you have a gun in a vehicle the ammunition has to be in the trunk. If the gun is in the trunk then the ammunition has to be locked in the glove box. Traveling with a weapon over state lines is a federal offense. The fact that you are traveling with a weapon is illegal in the US. Remember the rum runners, the gangsters of the 20″s? That is when they made laws to make it illegal to cross state lines with a weapon. If you are hunting then you can ship the gun by UPS or Fed-Ex to where you are hunting. They can take the package for you and hold the weapon. The Patriot Act has made these laws more restrictive. Again our freedoms have been taken away. One by one they will disappear until Hitler or I mean B*sh controls all people.
