Yes, the power cable can be used for hardwiring if you remove the cigar lighter plug. The GPSmirror must be protected by a 2 Amp in-line fuse and must be connected to a switched supply in the car, i.e. when the engine is not running there should be no supply to your GPSmirror. If you are unsure how to do this then consult a professional automotive electrician.
