Can I Grow Herbs In flower pots and potting soil?
Many Herbs grow in the wild under somewhat harsh conditions however herbs like well drained soil, at least seven hours of sunlight, and depending upon the region where the herb originated either moist or dry soil. For example, Mediterranean herbs like Oregano grow in dry soil. Flower pots will work fine if they have a hole for drainage. Add a little sand to the mix depending on the herb.
