Can I Go on a roller coaster if i have acid reflux problems?
To be honest, this doesn’t sound like acid reflux at all by the symptoms you’ve given us. Yes, it’s unhealthy to skip breakfast and buy sugary foods, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you have acid reflux. Assuming your mother isn’t a doctor (if she is, then never mind), I wouldn’t trust her “recokend” diagnosis. If you really feel as though you have a reflux issue, it may not be advisable to go on roller coasters. Acid reflux is caused by the weakening of your cardiac sphincter (the muscle at the top of your stomach that keeps hydrochloric acid from going up the esophagus), which means you get stomach acid going up your esophagus. The rough ride of a roller coaster could, theoretically, increase the chance of acid escaping your stomach. Bottom line: If you’re all that concerned, ask your doctor about it. If not, start eating healthier, don’t eat acidic foods on the 14th, and relax.
