Can I give my baby formula milk if I am not sure my breastmilk is enough?
If you can, it’s best to give your baby nothing but breastmilk for his first six months. This is called exclusive breastfeeding. The World Health Organisation, Unicef and the Department of Health all say exclusive breastfeeding is a good idea. This is because it has so many health benefits for your baby. They also recommend you breastfeed while weaning your baby onto solids, and carry on breastfeeding until he is one, and ideally, two years old.
