I agree that apple juice should not be given to a 3 month old- it might even make their belly ache even worse! My 3 month old had some serious constipation from Soy formula and my pediatrician instructed us to add Benefiber to his bottles. 1/2 tsp for a 6 oz bottle up to 3x a day. I started one day with only 1 benefiber bottle and slowly worked up to 3 to see what amount worked best for him. Now we give him 3 – 6oz benfiber bottles daily and problem solved! He said if that didn’t work then mineral oil would be the next step- which I was not looking forward to at all! I would check with your pediatrician first before trying anything.

yes you can. However, I would call your pedi and just talk to them about it. They may have a more accurate measurmentof how much juice is okay and how often to give it to him for the best results! They may recommend something else all together! My son got constipated about that age. A GOOD friend who is a pedis doc told us to use a LOT of vasiline and take his temp rectally. Just the act of doing that made him poop! I felt SO bad while we did it but it worked REALLY well and we only had to do it once. I was glad we were able to skip the juice since it could have upset his tummy!
