You can get pregnant if you have sex 2 weeks before period due. But it is better to do it 2 and a half weeks before as well. Once you have ovulated (middle of cycle – usually about 14 days from the beginning of your period) then the chances of getting pregnant after this decline a lot. It is better to have sex once and then again in a couple of days. There is no need to have sex more than once in a night.
