While Cable & Wireless is no longer putting in hard line wires for telephone service many residents have been happy with the services they receive from their cell phones and from Internet based phone services such as Vonage and Skype. The internet phone services depend on the connection speed you receive but offer a viable option at even 256K. You need to check into this service prior to moving to Panama as the hardware you need may be difficult to receive once you are here.
