If you can talk them (the roommates) into releasing you from the apartment and they qualify for the apartment on their combined income, then the landlords will agree to let you go. But yes, you do need your roommates to release you or else you’ll have to wait till the end of the lease. And even then, you still have to give a 60 day notice. Good luck. Edit: If your roommates want you out too then talk to your landlord and tell them you’d like to be taken off the lease. They will look into the income of the remaining roommates to see if they qualify for the apartment between them. If they do, all you need to do is sign a roommate relinquish form (your roommate will have to sign too) and you should be free to go.
