Can I get my childs physical and immunizations from the DuPage County Health Department ?
The DuPage County Health Department no longer holds Well-Child Clinics providing physical examinations and health education. If you do not have access to a child health care provider, you may contact the KidCare office for assistance, 630-682-7979 ext. 7773. Additionally, the Health Department can share the names of providers who offer “specials” of reduced-cost school physical exams, usually beginning late spring. Immunizations are now ONLY available to children who are on Medicaid/AllKids, uninsured, or covered by insurance that does not pay for vaccines. There is a per shot fee, but if a family is unable to pay the fee, that fee will be waived. Immunization clinics are by appointment only. The clinics operate weekly at the various Health Department sites. Call 630-682-7400 for an appointment at one of the Public Health Centers.
