can i get my best friend a gift card for christmas?
my best friend told me she wants a gift card for christmas but i want to get her something more personalized and special, like a necklace or perfume- i hate giving gift cards. if she asked for it should i just get it for her..? and how much should it be for? A: If she wants it, give it to her. I am all for more personalized and special gifts, too, but if the person I was buying a gift for specifically requested a gift card, I’d get it. It’s obviously something they want. How good is your best friend and what can you afford? I would say that $25-$50 is appropriate, but if your best friend is more like a member of the family, I’d go for something more. You could also do both gift ideas at the same time. Buy her something special and personalized and then give her a gift card for a smaller amount. That way you have satisfied yourself and your best friend.
