Can I get fired for calling in sick?
Well let me give you a lesson on how the world works. I worked in the resturant business for 8 years. I just recently got out. Any job needs everyone to be dependable. If everyone called in sick or left at the same time how would the resturant work? They would have to close down the resturant for that day and lose out on a lot of money. You were gone for 3 days and you only work 3 days a week. This shows the manager that you are not reliable and do not put your job first. If it is really important to you don’t you think that you would show up for work? You have to look at the situation from the managers side. They can always hire someone else they know will be there. To keep your job you have to go up and beyond their expections! Other wise they will find someone else. Some one is always looking for a job especially now with the economy being so bad.
