All Ph.D. students admitted to this department receive financial support from the Graduate School. Students admitted to M.S. and M.S. Biotechnology may also receive support based on the availability of funds. Those individuals who are awarded support receive part-time pay as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, including health and dental benefits as well as ten credit hours of paid tuition each semester. Q:Is there any requirement for GRE or TOEFL? A: Admission to the Ph.D., M.S., and M.S. Biotechnology programs occurs once per year in the Fall Term only. The Graduate School requires applicants to have a GRE score of at least 1000 on the Verbal and Quantitative portions of the test, and a minimum of 3.0 on the Writing Assessment. The minimum TOEFL for international students is 550 (213 computer-based or 79/120 internet-based). However, these minimum requirements are only a guide and do not determine admission.
