Can I Get Cervarix While Breastfeeding?
Cervarix® (Human Papillomavirus Bivalent [Types 16 and 18] Vaccine, Recombinant) is a vaccine approved to prevent cervical cancer and precancerous cervical lesions. Although there is no reason to suspect that Cervarix would cause problems for a breastfeeding woman or her infant, be sure to check with your healthcare provider (and perhaps your child’s healthcare provider) before receiving this vaccine if you are nursing a child.
