I’m a CP volunteer. Do you have a written voucher signed by your local branch or have you been given the leaflet with a phone number on? The voucher covers both spaying and neutering for £5. Not all vets accept the voucher so if a vet is not stated on your voucher you need to contact your local branch and they will advise you. Not all vets will neuter at 4months so double check some prefer to do it at 6months. When you ring the vets just tell them then that you have a voucher then, you don’t have to ring loads in advance to tell them. I would generally ring for neutering a week in advance so you’ll have more choice of appointment. If you have been given the leaflet voucher with the phone number on you’ll have to call and they’ll tell you exactly what to do. Not all branches run in the same way so there is not a set in stone procedure. I work between two branches and neither have the same set up or way of doing things.
