Any felony convictions and most serious misdemeanors will disqualify you from being admitted to any law school or to the BAR of any state. Despite all of the jokes that are told about attorneys, they are one of the few groups of professionals that need to go through a “character and fitness” exam which vets out people who have criminal convictions or are of questionable moral character. I’m not suggesting that some traffic violations will preclude you from being an attorney, but DUIs and higher generally will.
