Submit a Freedom Of Information Law request to our office (faxes are acceptable). Many companies have pre-printed/computer generated forms requesting such information. These company provided forms are acceptable by themselves: they do not also need a formal, Town-provided FOIL request. Please bear in mind that you must include a street address. All of our records are kept by street address, not tax item number, section, block & lot, or distance from intersecting streets. Now, the bad news is this: sometimes we are absolutely overwhelmed with work. When that occurs, we have no alternative but to prioritize the work and unfortunately FOIL requests go to the bottom of the list. If needed, we will be happy to provide you with an acknowledgement of your request and an estimated time of reply, but the unfortunate fact is that sometimes it can take as much as a month (or more) to process the request.
