CMS will soon be releasing a program memo on this topic. CMS has specifically requested that subscribers refrain from contacting CMS directly until this memo has been released. The memo is expected to authenticate the verbal statements indicating that CMS does not feel oximeter ownership is an auditable issue as the oximeter is by definition a sealed, tamper-proof unit.
