I looked up the product, and it’s claimed that it’s a combination ADSL modem and router. This means that it should have at least two RJ-type ports (one telephone-sized, the other a bit wider, for ethernet). Plug your phone in where it fits, and in the other port, try connecting it directly to your computer (using a typical ethernet patch cable, probably included with the modem/router). When you power on the router, it probably creates its own LAN, which is usually addressed 192.168.x.y, where, in many cases, x==1. How to proceed? Find the address of the LAN (that 192.168…) in your user guide if you can, and whatever specific number it gives, surf to it with your web browser (punch in “http://192.168.1.1/” for example, if that matches the address in your manual). You should then hit a sort of login screen, try ‘admin’, no password, or ‘admin’/’admin’, or various other combos (beware, some routers use empty login name). If you get past that, you’ll be into the guts of the router, where
